The glass window

Gormire woods isn't the only place where you can find things beyond the imaginable! There are more.
One of them is an unnamed place rather like ours. There your concience is your soul. And you and your soul can easily be seperated! When they are, your concience is transported to a world of paradise inside a glass cage. It is always unhappy because it wants to find you. You are banging away and shouting away at your concience but it can't hear you.
I know a boy called Oscar who's concience was seperated from him. This made him tougher, and he soon learned to live without his soul. It was only when he died that they were joined again.

Intro

There are other places where things beyond the imaginable happen. Places where you can be seperared from your soul, places where giant invisible hippos roam and rule the forests. You might say they are complete gibberish, but that is shallow-minded. These worlds are hidden, and some do not exist in the real world. However you can enter them, you just have to open your mind as you open the doors.

Let us enter some now...

Baeutaunia

Baeutaunia is the most beautiful land in the world.
It is a real land. In Gormire woods most people only see the slippery, damp ,dark part. Once, though when looking for wood and not really thinking about it, me and Benedict stumbled on a small old bridge. The area around it was much greener and lighter, and it was out of sight of everyone. The land over the bridge was beautiful. It was silent, all you could hear were the swaying trees and the birds whistling. A part of it was bog, camouflaged bog, stinky bog. The trees were large and above us lots of light streamed in.
It was our own secret place.

Wooding
One of camp's main activities was going into the wood and collect firewood. This was astonishingly hard, as the forest was damp and the wood had to be dry. But once, while walking out of Baeutaunia because Benadict needed the toilet, I noticed something by the bridge that hadn't been there before.
A great pile of dry, large, light logs.
Just for US.

Nymphs

Appearance
Nymphs don't look like much, just a small dot of light each with a colour to suit the personality.
Red= quite mischevous.
Yellow= shy and secretive, but strong.
Green= very good and lovable.
Blue= the rarest. the blue is clever and hides and is unable to protect herself.
When a nymph dies, they turn into a ball of lint so that humans don't notice them.
Redrock
The nymphs created an object that quick-water can't spread through. the redrock.
Naturally it is red and the nymphs placed it all over the world where is infested with quick-water. Redrock dizzolves the quicksand in quick-water, which makes it unharmful.
Rainbows
Ever wondered how rainbows are made? thought that they were a trick of the light?
Well, in a way you are correct.
Nymphs have a special invisible lift to reach the sky. They collect frozen quickwater and paint it. Then, they lay it on the ground so it reflects into the sky. No one can see the quickwater or feel it. It really is a useful thing.

The nymph will be a friend forever!

Danger

Invisible hippos
Invisible hippos can only be seen with eyes closed. They can come in whatever form you imaganie in and the are VERY dangerous. They run in heards through slippery woods and hate people. The most treacherous of all is Gom, the legendary invisible hippo. He, in his rage created something to cool him down. Quick-water.
The hippos love quick-water. Humans live in fear of it.

Gom
Gom also created the drulan plant. A terrible poisnonous plant that the other hippos didn't agree with. The plant destroyed there food and dried up the heavy aired, damp forest. The hippos abondoned him in their fury, to wonder in the woods of gormire. I remember being with them in the heat of their rage when they abandoned him. He did wonder, in hope of finding his friends: the invisible polar bears. All through his journey he was blind with hate and fury as he could not relieve himself of gormire whilst camp were staying. At first he hated us and tried to kill us but then we found his family trapped inside a rock. So we made friends. He even wrote us a note to tell us so.

Quick-water
A lethal substance. Probabely more dangerous than the hippos. It spreads eceedingly fast, in disguise as slow, muddy water. Do not go into it. It contains terriblely strong quicksand, hence the title: quick-water. The hippos are imuned to it and it was created by the terrible Gom.
The water can make great trees that only have branchs at the top. The only way to stop it spreading is by making a dam out of redrock. I remember once seeing a dam in a river of quick water made of normal rock that had quickwater trees growing out of it fast. Stupid dam makers. couldn't be bothered to collect the redrock from the volcanoes.
If quickwater reaches your home, it will be turned into a dangerous muddy forest infested with hippos.
